Welcome

Our website is Pro-Baseball, and its goal is to promote the game at all levels, as you’ll see below. We will also be adding and discussing different topics along the way, so keep in touch!

We first want to congratulate former Commissioner Allen H. “Bud” Selig, on a job well done. While we didn’t always agree with his decisions, he always had, and maintains, love for the game.  And as he left the game after 23 years, MLB was in its best financial shape ever.

At this time, it’s critical to focus on a topic that has reared its ugly head again, the DH in the National League. When our new commissioner, Robert D. Manfred, publically came out and said “The most likely result on the DH for the foreseeable future is status quo,” we were relieved.

However, Cardinals General Manager John “Mo” Mozeliak stated at the Cardinal Winter Warm-up that there’s “more momentum” for the DH in the NL.

Both of these statements were made in January of this year, 2016.

By the standards that the owners put into place, Rob Manfred was the best candidate, by far, to become the 10th Commissioner of the game that we love. He not only has the pedigree, (he served as Executive VP of Economics and League affairs, and has extensive experience in negotiating with the MLB Players Union during Collective Bargaining Agreements) he’s a TRUE fan of the game. At the end of 2013, he was named Chief Operating Officer of Major League Baseball.

If the NL owners ever did decide to put the DH into play, Commissioner Manfred would rightfully respect their wishes.

And also, there is this. When the Collective Bargaining Agreement expires in December of 2016, it would not be out of the realm of possibility for the Players Union to use the DH in the NL as a bargaining chip.

Sadly, the DH issue is far from over….

To the point of this website. Frankly, we’ve had enough! Pro’s and Con’s should be over and done. It’s overdone!  National League fans, it’s time to speak up, or shut up!

We implore you to write your teams owner(s), and say that “We don’t need NO STINKING DH!” Even if you’re not much of a writer, just scribble “No DH in OUR League” on a piece of paper, and send it to them. In fact, make copies, and send them to every team.  And also Commissioner Rob Manfred.

Addresses for every team owner/ownership group in the game is listed below. Please, please, take the time to drop a letter, or email them. We also have Commissioner Manfred’s address, website, and telephone number listed below.

My personal favorite Ballplayer, and MVP — 1st baseman Bryan “B” Rohde.

batdish

“B” is a left-handed hitter, with power to all fields!  Notice the stance…patterned after his favorite player, Albert Pujols. “B” isn’t just a great ballplayer, but a true gentleman.  Men respect him, and women love him!  A true HOF guy….

A percentage of any and all sales will go to support a local Saint Louis Charity.

Keep in touch!
